Notification of Delay of Submittal for Unit 1 & 2 Program for Maintenance of Irradiated Fuel and Preliminary Decommissioning Cost Analysis in accordance with 10 CFR 50.54 (bb) and 10 CFR 50.75(f)(3)

Dear Sir or Madam:

The purpose of this letter is to advise the NRC that the 10 CFR 50.54(bb) and 10 CFR 50.75(f)(3) submittals for Indian Point Unit Nos. 1 and 2 will be delayed until October 27, 2008. This delay is needed to allow Entergy Nuclear Operations Inc. (Entergy) additional time to successfully address comments Entergy received from the NRC on our Pilgrim submittal. The successful resolution of these comments on the Pilgrim submittal will impact the final product produced for the Indian Point Unit Nos. 1 and 2.

There are no commitments in this submittal.
