SUBJECT:
CALENDAR YEAR 2025 FUEL CYCLE FACILITY PHYSICAL SECURITY INSPECTION PROGRAM - AUDIT An internal audit of Region IIs implementation of the Fuel Cycle Facility Physical Security Inspection Program was performed from September 4, 2025 - September 11, 2025. The objective of the audit was to verify that inspection procedures (IPs) were completed within the frequencies required by the program guidance specified in Inspection Manual Chapter (IMC) 2681, Physical Protection and Transport of Special Nuclear Material and Irradiated Fuel Inspections of Fuel Facilities, and the core inspection program described in IMC 2600, Appendix B, NRC Core Inspection Requirements. The results of the audit verified that Region II has completed or has scheduled the inspections necessary to complete all physical security inspection program IPs within the frequencies established within the referenced IMCs.
The enclosure documents the completion or scheduled completion of all required IPs within their respective annual (calendar year (CY) 2025), biennial (CY 2024 - 2025), and triennial (CY 2023 - 2025) timeframes. Also documented are the scheduled CY 2026 physical security fuel facility inspections as verified in the Reactor Program System.
