OF PRE-SUBMITTAL ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW MEETING (DOCKET NUMBERS: 50-220 AND 50-244)

By letter dated May 9, 2025 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS)
Access No.: ML24130A126), Constellation Energy Generation, LLC (CEG, the applicant),
submitted a letter of intent to submit a subsequent license renewal (SLR) application for Nine Mile Point Nuclear Station (Nine Mile), Unit 1 and Ginna Nuclear Power Plant (Ginna).
On September 11, 2025, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC, or the staff) held a public meeting with CEG to discuss the expected content of the upcoming submittal of their SLR application and accompanying environmental report for Nine Mile and Ginna. The focus of this meeting was on the environmental review. The meeting notice and agenda for the environmental meeting is available at ML25239A002. The slides for the staff presentation are available at ML25234A006. CEG provided its environmental presentation involving Nine Mile and Ginna, which is available at ML25248A023. The staff discussed the NRCs review process, and the applicant discussed relevant environmental issues related to their SLR application. No members of the public provided comments or asked questions.
