Dear Mr. Folk:
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has reviewed the above-referenced Final Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement (SEIS) pursuant to the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and Section 309 of the Clean Air Act (CAA). The SEIS is a supplement to the 2020 Final SEIS.
U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commissions (NRCs) proposed action would restore the expiration dates for the subsequent renewed facility operating licenses to August 8, 2053 for Unit 2 and to July 2, 2054 for Unit 3.
In our letter for the Draft, EPA did not identify significant public health, welfare, or environmental quality concerns to be addressed but included several recommendations for the Final SEIS. We appreciate that Appendix A included responses to EPAs July 14, 2025 comments. EPA has no additional comments at this time.
