ISSUANCE OF RENEWED FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE NO. NPF-62 FOR CLINTON POWER STATION, UNIT 1
Dear Christopher D. Wilson:
The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) has issued Renewed Facility Operating License No. NPF-62 to Constellation Energy Generation, LLC (CEG) for Clinton Power Station, Unit 1 (Clinton). The NRC issued the renewed facility operating license upon the completion of the NRC staff safety and environmental reviews of the CEG application dated February 14, 2024 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS)
Accession No. ML24045A024), as supplemented by letters dated November 27, 2024 (ML24332A050), December 20, 2024 (ML24355A050), January 30, 2025 (ML25030A182),
March 25, 2025 (ML25084A044), and April 10, 2025 (ML25100A083).
Renewed Facility Operating License No. NPF-62 for Clinton expires at midnight on April 17, 2047.
The NRC staff documented its safety review of the Clinton license renewal application in the Safety Evaluation Report Related to the License Renewal of Clinton Power Station, Unit 1, dated August 2025 (ML25238A215), and determined that CEG had met the requirements of 10 CFR 54.29(a). The NRC staff documented its environmental review of the Clinton license renewal application in its Record of Decision (ML25246C224) and in NUREG-1437, Supplement 63, Generic Environmental Impact Statement for License Renewal of Nuclear Plants Regarding License Renewal for Clinton Power Station, Unit 1, Final Report, dated August 2025 (ML25212A224), and determined that CEG had met the requirements of 10 CFR 54.29(b). to this letter contains Renewed Facility Operating License No. NPF-62 for Clinton and the enclosures. No changes were made to the enclosures as a result of license renewal. to this letter contains the Record of Decision. A copy of the Federal Register notice of issuance of the Clinton renewed facility operating license (ML25246C225) is provided as to this letter and this notice was sent to the Office of the Federal Register for publication.
