OF JULY 23, 2025, CRYSTAL RIVER PARTIAL SITE RELEASE PUBLIC MEETING
Background
This was a Comment-Gathering public meeting. On February 10, 2025, Accelerated Decommissioning Partners Crystal River, Unit 3, LLC (ADP CR3), submitted a partial site release request in accordance with Section 50.83 of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations (10 CFR). The regulatory requirements in 10 CFR 50.83(f) specify that the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) conduct a public meeting in the vicinity of the site. The meeting was noticed on July 11, 2025 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS)
Accession No. ML25204A135). The list of meeting attendees is provided in Enclosure 1. The publicly available meeting presentation slides are available in ADAMS and can be accessed using ADAMS accession number ML25203A217. The meeting was transcribed. The transcription is available using ADAMS accession number ML25218A083.
Meeting Summary On July 23, 2025, the NRC staff held a public meeting at the Citrus County Chamber of Commerce at 915 North Suncoast Boulevard in Crystal River, Florida. The discussion followed the agenda provided in Enclosure 2. After introducing NRC personnel physically present at the meeting, virtual participants were asked to identify themselves and their organization. Using the publicly available meeting slides, NRC staff outlined the regulations associated with a partial site release and discussed ADP CR3s application. Finally, NRC staff explained how the public could provide comments on the application and feedback on the meeting.
