SUBJECT:

REVISION OF REVIEW SCHEDULE FOR THE CLINTON POWER STATION, UNIT 1, LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION (EPID NO. L-2024-RNW-0000)

(DOCKET NUMBER: 50-461)

Dear Christopher Wilson:

By letter dated February 14, 2024 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML24045A024), as supplemented by letters dated November 27, 2024 (ML24332A050), December 20, 2024 (ML24355A050), January 30, 2025 (ML25030A182),

March 25, 2025 (ML25084A044), and April 10, 2025 (ML25100A083), Constellation Energy Generation, LLC (Constellation or CEG) applied for license renewal (LR) of Facility Operating License No. NPF-62 for Clinton Power Station (CPS), Unit 1, to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). Constellation submitted its application pursuant to Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations part 54, Requirements for Renewal of Operating Licenses for Nuclear Power Plants, for LR.

By letter dated April 11, 2024 (ML24089A221), the NRC concluded that the application was acceptable for docketing and issued the projected review schedule for the CPS initial license renewal application (LRA).

The purpose of this letter is to inform you of changes in the review schedule for the CPS LRA.

The revisions reflect several staff efficiencies that have been applied to the environmental and safety reviews since the original schedule was set.

The revised review schedule is provided in the enclosure. The NRC staff will strive to meet the milestones ahead of the revised schedule whenever feasible.

Based on the current status of the review and implemented efficiencies, the staff estimates that the review will take approximately 12,050 hours5.787037e-4 days
0.0139 hours
8.267196e-5 weeks
1.9025e-5 months
to complete.
