The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff has started our review of the Oyster Creek License Amendment request to incorporate license termination requirements. The NRC staff has determined that a regulatory audit of was the most efficient approach toward a timely resolution of questions associated with this review. A regulatory audit is a planned activity that includes the examination and evaluation of primarily non-docketed information.
The audit will be conducted to increase the NRC staffs understanding of the request and identify information that will require docketing to support the NRC staffs regulatory finding.
The NRC staff will conduct a regulatory audit to support its review of the request in attached accordance audit plan. The audit plan will be made publicly available on July 18, 2025. The audit be nonpublic. An audit report summarizing the audit, that will be publicly available, will be provided after the conclusion of the audit.
