June 4, 2025 Mr. Barry N. Blair Vistra Operations Company LLC Beaver Valley Power Station Mail Stop P-BV-SSB P.O. Box 4, Route 168 Shippingport, PA 15077-0004
SUBJECT:
BEAVER VALLEY POWER STATION, UNIT NOS. 1 AND 2 - CORRECTION TO ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENTS 324 AND 214, RE: ADOPTION OF TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS TASK FORCE (TSTF) TRAVELER TSTF-569, REVISE RESPONSE TIME TESTING DEFINITION
Dear Mr. Blair:
By letter dated March 19, 2025 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML25016A326), the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) issued Amendment Nos. 324 and 214 to Renewed Facility Operating License (RFOL)
Nos. DPR-66 and NPF-73 for Beaver Valley Power Station (Beaver Valley), Unit Nos. 1 and 2, respectively. These amendments were issued in response to your application dated May 7, 2024 (ML24129A016).
The amendments revised the Beaver Valley, Unit Nos. 1 and 2 Technical Specifications to adopt Technical Specifications Task Force (TSTF) Traveler TSTF-569, Revise Response Time Testing Definitions.
Due to an administrative error, the NRC staff issued Amendment No. 214 with an incorrect license page for Beaver Valley, Unit No. 2. The error was in the text in paragraphs 2.C.(1) and 2.C.(2) on page 4 of RFOL No. NPF-73. To correct the error, the NRC staff is reissuing page 4 of RFOL No. NPF-73 to Amendment No. 214 to reflect Vistra Operations Company LLC.
The NRC staff determined that these editorial corrections in paragraphs 2.C.(1) and 2.C.(2) of RFOL No. NPF-73 do not change any of the NRC staffs conclusions in its safety evaluation regarding the acceptability of the changes approved in Amendment Nos 324 and 214, nor do the corrections affect the applicable no significant hazards considerations published in the Federal Register dated July 9, 2024 (89 FR 56442).
Please replace RFOL page 4 issued to Amendment No. 214 for Beaver Valley, Unit No. 2 with the enclosed license page 4.
B. Blair The NRC staff regrets any inconvenience this may have caused. If you have any questions, please contact me at 301-415-2597 or by email at V.Sreenivas@nrc.gov.
Sincerely,
/RA/
