NRC Annual Assessment Summary PG&E operated the plant safely and in a manner that preserved the public health and safety and protected the environment.

Diablo Canyon Units 1 & 2 were in the Licensee Response Column of the NRCs ROP Action Matrix at the end of 2024.

NRC Inspection Activities

~7500 hours of inspection and related activities 2 resident inspectors on site - residents make four quarterly inspection reports per year and walk through the plant every day 10 regional inspections 3 major team inspections License Renewal Aging Management Problem Identification and Resolution Diablo Canyon 2024

Diablo Canyon PIs and Findings January 1 through December 31, 2024 All 17 Performance Indicators for each unit (including Security) were Green 11 Green / Severity Level IV inspection findings

NRC Resident Inspection Findings Failure to maintain annunciator response procedure (IR 2024-001)

Inadequate maintenance rule evaluations on condenser steam dump system (IR 2024-001)

Failure to remove valve parts results in reactor trip at low power (IR 2024-001)

NRC Resident Inspection Findings Failure to consider appropriate performance criteria for maintenance rule components (IR 2024-001)

Failure to maintain original design specifications after maintenance (IR 2024-001)

Failure to make an interim Part 21 report (IR 2024-001)

NRC Resident Inspection Findings Failure to correctly determine operability of auxiliary building ventilation fan (IR 2024-002)

Failure to preclude repetition of the bearing failure of the auxiliary saltwater pump 2-2 (IR 2024-010)
