For Your Comments - State of Alabama - Farley Units 1 and 2 - License Amendment Request to Adopt TSTF-500, "DC Electrical Rewrite - Update To TSTF-360" EXTERNAL EMAIL - This message originated from outside of AEMA Good afternoon Quinton, The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff plans to issue a license amendment to Southern Nuclear Operating Company (SNC) for Joseph M. Farley Nuclear Plant, Units 1 and 2, on approximately June 27, 2025.
By application dated June 28, 2024, as supplemented by "NL-25-0433, License Amendment Request for Adoption of Technical Specifications Task Force (TSTF) Traveler TSTF-500, Revision 2 - DC Electrical Rewrite - Update to [[TSTF" contains a listed "[" character as part of the property label and has therefore been classified as invalid. - Response to Request for Additional Information|letter dated January 17, 2025]], SNC requested changes to renewed facility operating license (RFOL) NPF-2 (Farley Unit 1) and NPF-8 (Farley Unit 2). The amendments revise the requirements related to direct current (DC) electrical systems based on the NRC approved Technical Specification Task Force (TSTF) Traveler TSTF-500, Revision 2, DC Electrical Rewrite - Update to TSTF-360.
If the State of Alabama has comments on the license amendment request, please provide your comments by noon on May 12, 2025.
