OF THE APRIL 9, 2025, PUBLIC OUTREACH TO DISCUSS THE NRC 2024 END-OF-CYCLE PLANT PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT OF DRESDEN NUCLEAR POWER STATION, UNITS 2 AND 3 On April 9, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. (CDT), an information meeting (open house) with a question-and-answer session was held by representatives of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) to provide the public with information on the 2024 End-of-Cycle plant performance assessment of the Dresden Nuclear Power Station, Units 2 and 3, with general information on the NRC. The open house was held at the Morris American Legion Post 294 in Morris, Illinois. The NRC representatives discussed plant performance with members of the public and a number of state employees. Representatives from Constellation Nuclear were also present at the event.
The NRC discussed their assessment of Dresdens performance during the public outreach.
The assessment information was documented in the March 11, 2025, End-of-Cycle Assessment Letter (ADAMS Accession Number ML25069A720). Copies of the above letter and other brochures and fact sheets were made available to the public in attendance. Throughout the open house, members of the public and state and local government officials were given the opportunity to ask questions of NRC staff.
