By letter dated March 28, 2024 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System Accession No. ML24088A214), Duke Energy Progress, LLC (Duke Energy), submitted two white papers to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) in support of a future application for the Subsequent Renewed Operating Licenses for H.B. Robinson Steam Electric Plant, Unit 2 (HBR2):

WCAP-18909-NP, Determination of T0 for H.B. Robinson Unit 2 Heat number W5214, Linde 1092 Weld Metal Based on Unirradiated Data, Revision 1, dated March 2024 WCAP-18933-NP, Determination of T0 for H.B. Robinson Unit 2 Heat number W5214 Weld Metal and Upper Shell Plate W10201-1 Based on Available Irradiated Data Revision 0, dated March 2024 WCAP-18909-NP reports the measured initial (unirradiated) reference temperatures, and associated margins, for the HBR2 Heat number W5214, Linde 1092 weld material. WCAP-18933-NP describes the reference temperatures (and associated margins) for the HBR2 Heat number W5214 Weld Metal and Upper Shell Plate W10201-1.

The NRC staff has completed its review of WCAP-18909-NP and WCAP-18933-NP and has included its written feedback and detailed observations in the enclosure of this letter.
