- Anthony, By letter EVR_LTR_240122 dated May 15, 2024, Westinghouse Electric Company, LLC requested a review the Nuclear Design Methodology Topical Report (NDMTR) related to the eVinciTM microreactor. By email dated July 19, 2024, the NRC staff issued an acceptance of the NDMTR. The email also stated that a regulatory audit may be beneficial to the review.
The NRC has determined that a regulatory audit would assist in review of the NDMTR. See the attached audit plan. The NRC staff will conduct the audit to seek clarification, gain understanding, and verify information regarding the information provided in the NDMTR. The audit plan kick-off meeting between NRC staff and Westinghouse was conducted on November 22, 2024.
