REGARDING JULY 30-31, 2024, REGULATORY AUDIT FOR FRAMATOME TOPICAL REPORT, ANP-10354P, REVISION 0, SINGLE-PHASE COMPUTATIONAL FUEL DYNAMICS FOR FUEL ASSEMBLY CHARACTERIZATION (EPID L-2024-NTR-0000)
On July 30 - 31, 2024, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff met with Framatome, Inc (Framatome) representatives to present Topical Report (TR) ANP-10354P, Revision 0, Single-Phase Computational Fuel Dynamics for Fuel Assembly Characterization.
The NRC staff conducted a virtual regulatory audit (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System Accession No. ML24198A181) to obtain additional information needed to complete the requested review. The results of the audit provide support for the NRC staffs safety evaluation for TR ANP-10354P, Revision 0. The audit report and attendance list are enclosed.

Regulatory Audit Purpose of the Audit:
This was a Regulatory Audit performed under the guidance provided in LIC-500 (Topical Report Process) and LIC-111 (Regulatory Audits) to facilitate the review. The purpose of this audit was for U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff to discuss technical aspect of the technical report with the appropriate Framatome staff and gain knowledge that will assist in the adequate review of the topical report.
Summary of Audit:
Framatome performed a page turn of the topical report. The NRC staff asked clarification questions to enable a clear understanding of the material presented. The NRC staff considered the audit a success as it provided an efficient means to clarify the understanding of the summitted materials.
Action Items/Next Steps:
There will be a subsequent Audit performed October 21 - 25, 2024.
