RESPONSE TO MDR-002-2021
Dear Michael Ravnitzky:
Please consider this letter as an update to your Mandatory Declassification Review (MDR) dated March 1, 2021 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS)
Accession No. ML24213A324). The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) subsequently communicated with you on August 23, 2021 (ML21218A030), and July 7, 2022 (ML22188A062).
The scope of your MDR is for the following documents: SECY-78-186, SECY-78-202, SECY-78-240, SECY-78-241, SECY-78-254, SECY-78-257, SECY 78-286, and SECY-78-292.
As previously reported to you, the NRC conducted a line-by-line review of the requested documents and consulted with other agencies that potentially had equity in the documents.
Some of those agencies had requested the NRC reach out to additional agencies for review, which we have done. The NRC is waiting on the various external agencies to complete their equity reviews. The NRC will communicate the results of the reviews as soon as they are received.
