This is an Observation Meeting. This is a meeting in which attendees will have an opportunity to observe the NRC performing its regulatory function or discussing regulatory issues. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions of the NRC staff or make comments about the issues discussed following the business portion of the meeting; however, the NRC is not actively soliciting comments towards regulatory decisions at this meeting.
Purpose:
The purpose of this meeting between Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Corporation (WCNOC, the licensee) and the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff is to provide information regarding options for Wolf Creek Generating Station, Unit 1, Amendment No. 237, allowing the use of portable lighting in the fire protection program (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML23165A250). The NRC staff also issued a revised safety evaluation as requested by the licensee (ML23345A160).
