OF THE JUNE 17, 2024, PUBLIC OUTREACH TO DISCUSS THE NRC 2023 END-OF-CYCLE PLANT PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT OF FERMI NUCLEAR POWER PLANT, UNIT 2 On June 17, 2024, from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. (EDT), an observation meeting was held by representatives of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) to provide the public with information on the 2023 End-of-Cycle plant performance assessment of the Fermi Nuclear Power Plant, Unit 2, and with general information on the NRC. The meeting was held during the Monroe City Council meeting in Monroe, MI and was accessible to stream online. The NRC representatives discussed plant performance with members of the public and a number of local city council members. Representatives from DTE were also present at the event.
The NRC discussed their assessment of Fermis performance during the public outreach. The assessment information was documented in the February 28, 2024, End-of-Cycle Assessment Letter (ADAMS Accession Number ML24057A345). The presentation for this meeting is available in ADAMS, Accession Number ML24177A027. At the end of the meeting, members of the public were given the opportunity to ask questions of NRC staff.
