This is an Observation Meeting. This is a meeting in which attendees will have an opportunity to observe the NRC performing its regulatory function or discussing regulatory issues. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions of the NRC staff or make comments about the issues discussed following the meeting; however, the NRC is not actively soliciting comments toward regulatory decisions at this meeting.
Purpose:
The NRC staff will discuss its assessment of safety performance at Fermi Nuclear Power Plant, Unit 2, for 2023, as described in the 2023 annual assessment letter. The presentation will be given during a Monroe City Council meeting. NRC staff will be available after the city council meeting to answer questions specific to the safety performance of the station(s) and the NRCs role in ensuring safe plant operations. Additional information about how to view this meeting can be found below. Due to the nature of the city council meeting, the end time for the meeting is approximate.
