DOSEEQUIVALENT XE-I33DOSEEQUIVALENT XE-I33shallbethatconcentration of Xe-I33(microcuries pergram)thatalonewouldproducethe sameacutedosetothewholebodyasthecombined activities ofnoblegasnuclides Kr-85m, Kr-87,Kr-88,Xe-133m, Xe-I33,Xe-I35m,Xe-I35,andXe-I38actuallypresent. Ifa specificnoblegasnuclideisnotdetected, itshouldbe assumed tobepresentattheminimum detectable activity.

Thedetermination ofDOSEEQUIVALENT XE-I33shallbe performed usingtheeffectivedoseconversion factorsforair submersion listedinTable111.1ofEPAFederalGuidance ReportNo.12,EPA-402-R-93-08I, External Exposure to Radionuclides inAir,Water,andSoil,I993.

ENGINEERED SAFETY TheESFRESPONSE TIMEshallbethattimeintervalfrom FEATURE (ESF)RESPONSE whenthemonitored parameter exceeds itsESFactuation TIME setpointatthechannelsensoruntiltheESFequipment is capableofperforming itssafetyfunction (i.e.,thevalvestravel totheirrequired positions, pumpdischarge pressures reach theirrequiredvalues,etc.).Timesshallincludediesel generator startingandsequence loadingdelays, where applicable. Theresponse timemaybemeasured bymeansof anyseriesofsequential, overlapping, ortotalstepssothatthe entireresponse timeismeasured. Inlieuofmeasurement, response timemaybeverifiedforselected components orthe provided thatthecomponents andmethodology for evaluated inaccordance withanIverification havebeenpreviously reviewed andapproved by NRCapproved methodology.

INSERVICE TESTING TheINSERVICE TESTING PROGRAM isthelicensee PROGRAM programthatfulfillstherequirements of10CFR50.55a(f).
