Dear Kelly Fitch,

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff has received your license amendment request dated March 20. 2024 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession Number ML24103A030), pertaining to American Centrifuge Operating, LLCs (ACOs) request for NRC review and approval of changes to ACOs classified matter security plans for the Piketon, Oak Ridge and Bethesda sites.

We have completed our acceptance review of the submittal. We have identified no administrative omissions or deficiencies that would prevent us from proceeding with a detailed review. Your submittal has been assigned Enterprise Project Identification Number (EPID) L-2024-SPR-0003. Please reference this EPID number and Docket Number 07007004 in any future correspondence associated with this request.

Please note that the NRC staffs technical review of your submittal may identify issues that require additional information. Based on our preliminary evaluation and projection of current review schedules, we anticipate completing our formal review by the requested date of September 23, 2024. This date could change depending on the findings of our technical review, urgent assignments, or other factors. We will promptly communicate any significant changes to this schedule. In addition, the NRC staff estimates that completing the review of your submittal will require approximately 100 staff hours which corresponds to $30,000.00 (current rate of $300.00/hr).

In accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Section 2.390 of the NRCs Agency Rules of Practice and Procedure, a copy of this e-mail will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records component of the NRCs ADAMS.
