SUMMARY

- 2023 ANNUAL ASSESSMENT MEETING REGARDING THE VIRGIL C. SUMMER NUCLEAR STATION, DOCKET NO. 50-395, MEETING NUMBER 20240512 On April 22, 2024, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) conducted a hybrid meeting (virtual and in-person) concerning the Virgil C. Summer Nuclear Station. The purpose of the meeting was to provide opportunities for the public to discuss the annual assessment of the station for the period of January 1, 2023, through December 31, 2023.

The meeting was held both virtually via Microsoft Teams webinar and in-person at McCrorey-Liston School of Technology, 1978 State Hwy 215 S, Blair, SC. Additionally, a dial-in by phone option was available. The following documents related to the meeting are available in the NRCs document system (ADAMS): Meeting Notice (Accession No. ML24102A223), Annual Assessment Letter (Accession No. ML24053A031), and Assessment Meeting Presentation (Accession No. ML24101A064). ADAMS is accessible from the NRC Web site at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html (the Public Electronic Reading Room).

The meeting was conducted from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM local time. Meeting attendees consisted of representatives from the NRC, Dominion Energy, and several members of the public. The attendee list is provided in the Enclosure. NRC staff were available for questions following the presentation. All questions raised during the meeting were answered by NRC staff.

The meeting was listed in the Public Meeting Feedback System under Meeting Code 20240512 and as of the date of this memo, two feedback forms were submitted.
