TSTF 2023 in Review

  • 2023 is the 20th year of the TSTF as a jointly sponsored Owners Group activity (28 years as an organization started in 1995)
  • One change in TSTF membership: Phil Lashley (Energy Harbor) replaced Ryan Joyce (Southern Nuclear) as BWROG TSTF representative.

TSTF 2023 in Review

  • The NRC expended 1,362 fee-billable hours reviewing travelers in CY 2023.
  • The TSTF exchanged 22 letters with the NRC o 13from the NRC (excludes meeting notices and summaries) o 9 from the TSTF
  • The TSTF held 25 teleconferences or meetings with NRC.
  • License Amendments to Adopt Travelers There were 42 license amendments to adopt TSTF travelers submitted in 2023.

There were 61 license amendments to adopt TSTF travelers approved in 2023.

Only includes adoption of travelers greater than TSTF-359.

However, there are relative priorities within the active travelers based on financial or safety benefit, short term vs. long term needs, and Owners Group goals.

High Priority Request NRC focus resources on completing the traveler review on or before the scheduled date.

Medium Priority Request NRC apply resources to complete the traveler review by the scheduled date.

Low Priority Request NRC apply resources to complete the traveler review by the scheduled date unless those resources are required to complete High or Medium priority travelers by their scheduled dates.
