SUMMARY
OF SEPTEMBER 26, 2023, MEETING WITH FRAMATOME On September 26, 2023, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff held a hybrid meeting with Framatome to discuss the NRC staffs draft requests for additional information related to Framatomes license amendment request submittal. The license amendment request is for the NRC to review the Framatome methodology for determining minimum margin of subcriticality to include enrichments up to 20 weight percent U-235 in accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations Section 70.61(d). This methodology for analytical purposes only and will support a potential subsequent licensing action to change their enrichment level.
The first session of the meeting was open to the public while the second session was closed to the public for discussion of proprietary information.
The meeting notice and agenda, dated September 26, 2023, is available in the NRCs Agencywide Documents Access and Management System at Accession No. ML23264A058.
