Dear Sir or Madam,
Framatome Inc. (Framatome) submits a corrected licensing drawing for Certificate of Compliance (CoC) USA/9372/B(U)F-96, Docket Number 71-9372. Framatome is the certificate holder for this packaging.
Framatome self-identified an error between the TN - B 1 licensing drawing FS 1-0042705 Rev. 1 approved in the Certificate of Compliance (CoC) USA/9372/B(U)F -96 Rev. 3 and the previous licensing drawing, 105E3745 Rev. 8. The error increased the number of plug welds required on the inner container which is more than the number of plug welds made on all as built TN-B1 packaging's. This error puts the entire fleet of TN-B1 packaging 's into a state of non-compliance for which a 71.95 report is also being submitted separately.
Framatome requests the NRC staff's review of the corrected drawing and the issuance of a revised CoC no later than October 31 st, 2023 to ensure continuity of our scheduled shipments. The revised drawing and list of changes is attached.
