Docket Nos. 50-445 and 50-446 Request to Use Later Code Edition for Inservice Inspection (ISI) Program
Dear Sir or Madam:
Pursuant with 10 CFR 50.55a(g)(4)(iv), Applicable ISI Code: Use of subsequent Code editions and addenda," Vistra Operations Company LLC (Vistra OpCo) requests to use the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Boiler and Pressure Vessel (BPVC)Section XI, 2019 Edition for the Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant (CPNPP) Units 1 and 2 Inservice Inspection (ISI) and Containment Inservice Inspection (CISI) Programs for the remainder of the 4th interval.
ASME BPVC Section XI 2019, Rules for Inservice Inspection of Nuclear Power Plant Components-Division 1, is the latest edition incorporated by reference in 10 CFR 50.55a(a)(l)(ii). Per 10 CFR 50.55a(b)(2), CPNPP will apply all conditions applicable to the 2019 Code.
CPNPP Unit 1 and Unit 2 ISI and CISI Programs are in the 4th Interval. The Unit 1 ISI Interval ends on August 12, 2030. The Unit 2 ISI Interval ends on August 2, 2033. The Units 1 and 2 CISI intervals end on September 8, 2031.
This communication contains no new commitments regarding CPNPP Units 1 and 2.
