This is a meeting in which attendees will have an opportunity to observe the NRC performing its regulatory function or discussing regulatory issues. Attendees will have an opportunity to ask questions of the NRC staff or make comments about the issues discussed following the business portion of the meeting; however, the NRC is not actively soliciting comments towards regulatory decisions at this meeting.

Purpose:

The NRC will discuss its assessment of safety performance at Grand Gulf Nuclear Station during calendar year 2022, as described in the attached 2022 annual assessment letter.

The presentation will be given during a Port Gibson City Council meeting. NRC resident inspectors will be available after their presentation to answer questions about the safety performance of the station and the NRC's role in ensuring safe plant operations.
