COMANCHE PEAK NUCLEAR POWER PLANT - ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF
RESPONSE TO INSPECTION REPORT 05000445/2022003 AND NOTICE OF
VIOLATION
Dear Mr. Peters:
On November 1, 2022, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) cited Comanche Peak
Nuclear Power Plant for failure to restore compliance for a previous non-cited violation
documented as Non-Cited Violation 05000445/2019001-02 "Failure to Evaluate a Change to the
Facility DC Power System." The Notice of Violation, enclosed in NRC Inspection Report 05000445/2022003(ADAMS Accession No: ML22299A056), required you to respond in writing
within 30 days. Your response was received by letter dated December 1, 2022.
We have reviewed your response and find that it meets the requirements of Title 10 Code of
Federal Regulation (CFR) 2.201. We have no further questions at this time and will review the
implementation of your corrective action during a future inspection to determine whether full
compliance has been achieved.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRCs Rules of Practice, a copy of this letter will be
available electronically for public inspection in the NRCs Public Document Room or from the
NRC's Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS), accessible from
the NRCs Web Site at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html.
