This is a Comment-Gathering Meeting. The purpose of this meeting is for NRC staff to meet directly with individuals to receive comments from participants on specific NRC decisions and actions to ensure that NRC staff understands their views and concerns.
Purpose:
The purpose of this meeting is to receive public comments on the Palisades Nuclear Plant (Palisades) post-shutdown decommissioning activities report (PSDAR), including the site-specific decommissioning cost estimate (DCE). The Palisades PSDAR and DCE are available in the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission's (NRCs) Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) under Accession No. ML20358A232. A notice of receipt, availability, the purpose of the public meeting, and request for comments was published in the Federal Register on August 26, 2022 (87 FR 52598). The public comment period closes on December 27, 2022.
