JPM BRIEFING/TURNOVER You may use any approved reference materials normally available including logs. Make all written reports, oral reports, and log entries as if the evolution is actually being performed.
EOP Immediate Actions are required to be performed from memory. After completing immediate action steps without using the procedure, you may then use any approved reference materials.
If this JPM is performed on the simulator, the JPM administrator should only give cues that are not indicated on the simulator. If simulator indication is sufficient to indicate the completion of a step, the JPM administrator should not have to give a cue to the trainee to continue the evolution.
I will explain the initial conditions, which step(s) to simulate or discuss, and provide initiating cues. When you complete the task successfully, the objective for this job performance measure will be satisfied.
DURING THE JPM, ENSURE PROPER SAFETY PRECAUTIONS, FME, AND/OR RADIOLOGICAL CONCERNS AS APPLICABLE ARE FOLLOWED.
INITIAL CONDITIONS:
Unit 2 is at 100% power.
The last dilution for temperature control was 300 gallons of RMU.
A Chemist is available to take boron samples.
INITIATING CUES:

Critical Y 1C12.1 AOP1 2.4.3 If seal injection is lost due to a charging pump failure, then perform the following:
Start any charging pump and/or adjust CV-31198, CHARGING LINE FLOW CONTROL VALVE, using 1HC-142, to restore seal injection.
Standard:
Examinee starts 13 Charging pump and restores seal injection to 6-10 GPM.
Evaluator Note:
Examinee may respond using C47015-0105 to start the 13 Charging pump, or any other associated ARP as long as seal injection is restored.
11 CCP Trip Annunciator is received on Control Room Panel-B, annunciator 47015-0105.
12 CCP is initially in MANUAL at minimum speed. When the malfunction is entered to trip 11 CCP, the 12 Charging pump fails at minimum, & flow control valve fails as is. 11 & 12 RCP Seal Injection flows will lower to ~3 GPM. If the examinee attempts to raise flow on 12 CCP, place 12 CCP in AUTO, or adjust CV-31198, there will be no response from the plant. The only success path is to start 13 CCP and, if necessary, raise flow to restore seal injection. It is expected that the examinee will raise seal injection flow to ~8 GPM to each RCP, but not doing so is not a critical part of this step.
Experience has shown that the operator will likely NOT place 13 CCP in AUTO immediately as it will not be a bumpless transfer, nor is there a procedural requirement to do so immediately.
Other alarms that come in over several minutes due to the transient include:

Steps 5.2.1.A through 5.2.1.E of 1C20.7, D1/D2 DIESEL GENERATORS, have been completed.
INITIATING CUES:

Evaluator Note:
Summary of Notes & Cautions:
It may be necessary to adjust governor speed setting to light the amber lights.
Prelube pump stops automatically when engine reaches 250 RPMs.
The engine shall be prelubed for at least 3 minutes but not more than 4 minutes prior to engine start.
If engine not started within 10 minutes of prelube, manually air roll the engine.
Infrequent, small exhaust fires may occur if exhaust hasnt been reworked recently.
Breaker should be closed within 5-8 minutes of engine start to reduce fire hazard created by oil accumulation in exhaust manifolds.

A Waste Gas Release is planned for your shift.
