Revision #
Summary 2022 NRC Revision includes current revisions of referenced procedures and current revision of TQ-AA-150-J020 JPM Template. The JPM was modified by changing the initial RCS boron concentration.
TQ-AA-150-J020 Revision 01 Page 4 of 13 SRRS: 3D.100; There are no retention requirements for this section SETUP INSTRUCTIONS (Add instructions as required for specific JPM setting; e.g.,
simulator, mock-up, etc.)
- 1. Reset the simulator to IC-10, Mode 3, NOP/NOT or equivalent IC.
NOTE:
It is acceptable to use a similar IC to the IC listed above, provided the specific IC used is verified to be compatible with this and other JPMs that are scheduled to be run concurrently. {Delete this NOTE if not applicable.}
- 2. Set 1FK-0110 for 585 ppm (10 gpm).
- 3. When the above steps are completed for this and other JPMs to be run concurrently, validate any previously unvalidated JPMs using the JPM Validation Checklist.
- 4. This completes the setup for this JPM.
TQ-AA-150-J020 Revision 01 Page 5 of 13 SRRS: 3D.100; There are no retention requirements for this section INITIAL CONDITIONS
- 1. You are the Unit 1 NSO.
- 2. The Unit is in Mode 3, Tave = 557 deg F, Pressure = 2235 psig.
- 3. Normal plant startup is in progress.
- 6. 120 gpm letdown is in service.
INITIATING CUE
- 1. The Unit Supervisor has directed you to perform a dilution to the critical boron concentration, over 90-minutes, in preparation for the startup. Use the normal dilution flowpath.
Fill in the JPM Start Time when the student acknowledges the Initiating Cue.
Information For Evaluators Use:
UNSAT requires written comments on respective step.
- Denotes critical steps.
Number any comments in the Comment Number column on the following pages. Then annotate that comment in the Comments section. The comment section should be used to document: the reason that a step is marked as unsatisfactory, marginal performance relating to management expectations, or problems the examinee had while performing the JPM.
Comments relating to procedural or equipment issues should be entered and tracked using the sites appropriate tracking system.
Some operations that are performed from outside of the control room may require multiple steps. These items may be listed as individual steps in this JPM. It is acceptable for the candidate to direct the local operator to perform groups of procedure steps instead of calling for each individual item to be performed.
The timeclock starts when the candidate acknowledges the initiating cue.

Summary 2022 NRC Revision includes current revisions of referenced procedures and current revision of TQ-AA-150-J020 JPM Template. The JPM was modified by changing the Tech Spec restoration actions to include re-positioning 1CV182 and 1CV8369A-D to adjust seal injection flows to meet Tech Spec 3.5.5 requirements.
TQ-AA-150-J020 Revision 01 Page 4 of 11 SRRS: 3D.100; There are no retention requirements for this section SETUP INSTRUCTIONS (Add instructions as required for specific JPM setting; e.g.,
simulator, mock-up, etc.)
- 1. Reset the simulator to IC-21 or any at power stable IC.
NOTE:
It is acceptable to use a similar IC to the IC listed above, provided the specific IC used is verified to be compatible with this and other JPMs that are scheduled to be run concurrently. {Delete this NOTE if not applicable.}
- 2. Start the 1B CV pump, place 1A CV pump to PULLOUT.
- 3. Release SIM_411P.ssf to insert the following to complete the setup:
- IRF CV44 31
- IRF CV45remf 28
- IRF CV46 34
- IRF CV47 32
- 4. Perform the following at 1PM05J:
- SET 1CV182 POT to 80% demand.
NOTE: An EXAMPLE of approximate 1CV8369A-D positions and 1CV182 position to restore Tech Spec 3.5.5 requirements per Procedure step F.5.0 is:
- IRF CV44 20
- IRF CV45remf 16
- IRF CV46 20
- IRF CV47 21
- 1CV182 POT at 60% demand.
There are many possible combinations to restore Tech Spec 3.5.5 requirements; but throttling closed on 1CV182 and throttling closed on 1CV8369A-D will be required.
- 5. When the above steps are completed for this and other JPMs to be run concurrently, validate any previously unvalidated JPMs using the JPM Validation Checklist.
- 6. Tools, equipment, other special requirements - Calculator.
- 7. This completes the setup for this JPM.
- 8. The simulator must be reset between JPMs. Ensure the following:

TQ-AA-150-J020 Revision 01 Page 4 of 13 SRRS: 3D.100; There are no retention requirements for this section SETUP INSTRUCTIONS (Add instructions as required for specific JPM setting; e.g.,
simulator, mock-up, etc.)
- 1. N/A, In-Plant NOTE:
It is acceptable to use a similar IC to the IC listed above, provided the specific IC used is verified to be compatible with this and other JPMs that are scheduled to be run concurrently.
- 2. This completes the setup for this JPM.
TQ-AA-150-J020 Revision 01 Page 5 of 13 SRRS: 3D.100; There are no retention requirements for this section NOTE: Mark up the examinee CUE sheet for the desired unit prior to handing out the examinees cue sheet. This JPM was originally developed as a Unit 1 JPM; but can be used as a Unit 2 JPM based on plant conditions.
INITIAL CONDITIONS
- 1.
You are an Equipment Operator.
- 2.
Both units are at full power.
- 3.
Instrument Inverter 111(211) output breaker B2 has been declared inoperable due to improper overcurrent trip setting.
INITIATING CUE
- 1.
The Unit Supervisor has directed you to transfer Instrument Bus 111(211) to the Constant Voltage Transformer and shutdown Inverter 111(211) in accordance with BwOP IP-2, section F.1(F.5).
- 2.
An Equipment Operator is standing by at MCC 131(231)X2.
