SUMMARY

OF THE JUNE 23, 2022, PUBLIC OUTREACH TO DISCUSS THE NRC 2021 END-OF-CYCLE PLANT PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT OF POINT BEACH NUCLEAR PLANT, UNITS 1 AND 2 On June 23, 2022, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. (CDT), an information meeting with a question-and-answer session was held by representatives of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) to provide the public with information on the 2021 End-of-Cycle plant performance assessment of the Point Beach Nuclear Plant, Units 1 and 2, and with general information on the NRC. The open house was held at the Lester Public Library, 1001 Adams Street, Two Rivers, Wisconsin. Representatives from NextEra Energy were also present at the event.

The NRC discussed their assessment of Point Beach Nuclear Plant, Units 1 and 2s performance during the public outreach with members of the public. The assessment information was documented in the March 2, 2022, End-of-Cycle Assessment Letter (ADAMS Accession Number ML22055B068). Representatives from the NRC made copies of the above letter and other brochures and fact sheets available to the public in attendance. The handout for the meeting is available in ADAMS, Accession Number ML22181B084. Throughout the open house, members of the public were given the opportunity to ask questions of NextEra Energy officials.
