Kelly, The NRC staff has completed the acceptance review of your request dated April 7, 2022 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML22102A021) for Interim Authorities To Operate the Distributed Control System (DCS) and Process Telephone System (PTS) at the Piketon, Ohio facility. The DCS and PTS are currently authorized under an Authority To Test that was provided to you on November 19, 2021 (ML21314A580). The staff has determined your request to be acceptable and intends to proceed with a formal review.

Please note that the NRC staffs formal review may identify issues that require additional information. Based on our preliminary evaluation and projection of current review schedules, we anticipate completing our formal review by September 23, 2022. This date could change depending on the findings of our formal review, urgent assignments, or other factors. We will promptly communicate any significant changes to this schedule. In addition, the NRC staff estimates that completing the review will require approximately 90 staff hours which corresponds to about $ 25,920.00 ($288.00/hr). The review will be conducted under the EPID L-2022-SPR-0007.
