Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc. letter to U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Supplement to Certification of Permanent Cessation of Power Operations, (ADAMS Accession No. ML17292A032),

dated October 19, 2017

In the referenced letter, in accordance with Title 1 O of the Code of Federal Regulations, Part 50, Section 82 (1 O CFR 50.82), Termination of license, subparagraph 50.82(a)(1 )(i), Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc. (Entergy) certified to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) that it had decided to permanently cease power operations at Palisades Nuclear Plant (PNP) no later than May 31, 2022.

In this letter Entergy hereby certif ies to the NRC in accordance with 1 O CFR 50.82(a)(1 )(i) that power operations ceased at PNP on May 20, 2022. In addition, in accordance with 1 O CFR 50.82(a)(1 )(ii), Entergy also certifies that the fuel was permanently removed from the PNP reactor vessel and placed in the PNP spent fuel pool on June 10, 2022. Entergy understands and acknowledges that upon docketing of these certifications, the PNP 1 O CFR Part 50 license no longer au t horizes operation of the reactor or emplacement or retention of fuel in the reactor vessel.

This letter contains no new commitments and no revised commitments.
