Thank you for RSI on the Subchannel Topical Report Supplement (TR-108601, Revision 0).
- 1. The RSI does contain NuScale sensitive information as the RSI contains a direct quote from TR-108601, Revision 0 that was marked proprietary. We are working to provide you with a notated version.
- 2. NuScale plans to submit an updated revision (Revision 1) of TR-108601 to the NRC, along with a response to the RSI by April 25th, 2022.
- 3. We are still evaluating the need for a clarification phone call with the NRC regarding the RSI.
Therefore, we would like to leave open the potential for a clarification phone call in the future.
I will give you a call next week to discuss our path forward and the potential for a clarification call.

This email supplements the one sent to NuScale Power, LLC on February 24, 2022, (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System [ADAMS] Accession No. ML22056A015) regarding the completeness determination for Topical Report (TR) -
108601, Revision 0, "Statistical Subchannel Analysis Methodology." The TR was submitted by letter dated December 30, 2021 (ADAMS] Accession No. ML21364A132 - package) and due to holiday schedule was provided to the staff on January 4, 2022. Additional supplemental data tables were sent via compact disk and letter dated February 10, 2022 (ADAMS Accession No. ML22041A448).
NuScale-TR-108601, Rev. 0, Statistical Subchannel Analysis Methodology, Supplement 1 to TR-0915-17564-P-A, Revision 2, did not provide sufficient technical information to enable the NRC to complete its review and make an independent assessment regarding the acceptability of the updated methodology. The NRC Staff has developed the attached (password protected) request for supplemental information (RSI). Please review this RSI and respond to the three questions below.
- 1. Does the RSI contain sensitive (Critical Electric Infrastructure, Export Control, Proprietary, or Security-Related) information? If so, please identify the sensitive information and provide NRC Staff with a notated version.
- 2. Staff requests the following supplemental information be provided by April 25, 2022, in order to assist in completing this acceptance review. Can you provide the supplemental information by this date? If not, how long will it take to respond?
- 3. Do you need a clarification phone call regarding this RSI before you start processing your response?
