TSTF 2021 in Review
- 2021marks the 1 9th year (2003) of the TSTF as a jointly sponsored Owners Group activity (27years as an organization in 1995)
- One change in TSTF membership : David Gullott (Constellation) replaced Dwi Murray (Constellation)
o Two travelers were approved:
TSTF-577, Rev. 1, Rev. 0, " Revised Frequencies for Steam Generator Tube Inspections" (PWRs) 416 /2021.
- Approved or submitted by 16 sites to date.
TSTF-580, Rev. 1, " Provide Exception from Entering Mode 4 With No Operable RHR Shutdown Cooling" ( BWRs) 7/11/2021.
o Five new traveler s were submitted:
TSTF-584, Rev. 0(Draft), Eliminate Automatic RWCU System Isolation on SLC Initiation," (BWR) 9/24/2021
TSTF-585, Rev. 1(Draft), " Provide an Alternative to the LCO 3.0.3 One -

o The NRC expended 1,075fee-billable hours reviewing travelers in 2021.
- The TSTF exchanged 11 letters with the NRC:

o This is down from 20 letters in 2020 illustrating how more business is being conducted by email and teleconferences.
- The TSTF held 30teleconferences with NRC.
- Other TSTF /NRC Activities:
o The NRC published Revision 5 of the Standard Technical Specifications (NUREG -
1430 through NUREG-1434), completing an 18-month cooperative project between the TSTF and the NRC to update the STS.
o The TSTF published TSTF -GG 01, "Technical Requirements Manual and Operational References (TRM) Format and Content Guideline," (April 2021).
- License Amendments to Adopt Travelers
There were 90license amendments to adopt TSTF travelers submitted in 2021.
There were 88license amendments to adopt TSTF travelers approved in 2021.
