ACCEPTANCE OF AMENDMENT REQUEST TO INCLUDE EDITS TO LICENSE RENEWAL APPLICATION (ENTERPRISE PROJECT IDENTIFICATION NUMBER L-2022-LLA-0010)

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff received your submittal dated January 7, 2022 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS)

Accession Number ML22007A083), requesting an amendment to Special Nuclear Materials License Number 960 (SNM-960), for the General Electric-Hitachi Vallecitos Nuclear Center (VNC), to include edits to the 2015 and 2016 revisions to the license renewal application for the VNC, as cited in License Condition 10 of SNM-960.

We have completed our acceptance review of your submittal and have identified no administrative omissions or deficiencies that would prevent us from proceeding with a detailed review. Your submittal has been assigned Enterprise Project Identification Number (EPID)

L-2022-LLA-0010. Please reference this number and Docket Number 07000754 in any future correspondence associated with this matter.

Please note that the NRC staffs technical review of your submittal may identify issues that could require you to provide additional information. Based on our preliminary evaluation and projection of current review schedules, we anticipate completing our formal review by June 2022. This schedule includes the issuance, if needed, of requests for additional information (RAI) by April 2022 and receiving your responses to the RAIs within 30 days after issuance. Please note that these dates could change depending on the findings of our technical review, urgent assignments, or other factors. We will promptly communicate any significant changes to the schedule. The NRC staff expects that its review of your submittal will take approximately 125 hours0.00145 days <br />0.0347 hours <br />2.066799e-4 weeks <br />4.75625e-5 months <br /> for a total cost of around $ 36,000.00.
