SUMMARY

OF REGULATORY PERFORMANCE MEETING WITH ENTERGY OPERATIONS, INC. TO DISCUSS THE RESULTS OF THE NRCS SUPPLEMENTAL 95002 INSPECTION OF GRAND GULF NUCLEAR STATION

Dear Mr. Franssen:

This letter summarizes the virtual public meeting conducted on October 4, 2021, between the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and your staff. Approximately 66 people attended the public meeting, including members of the general public, with representatives from local government organizations.

The meeting was conducted from 5:00 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. (CDT), with an NRC staff member facilitating the meeting. During the meeting, the NRC presented the results of a supplemental inspection performed in accordance with Inspection Procedure 95002, "Supplemental Inspection Response to Action Matrix Column 3 (Degraded Performance) Inputs. The supplemental inspection was conducted at Grand Gulf Nuclear Station between August 23 and September 17, 2021, as the result of one Yellow Performance Indicator (PI) in the Initiating Events Cornerstone of the NRCs Action Matrix. Your staff presented the stations perspective regarding the performance deficiencies and corrective actions associated with the Yellow Performance Indicator. During the public question-and-answer portion of the meeting, there were no questions or comments submitted by meeting attendees.
