RIC Background - An Overview

  • The RIC is the largest public meeting hosted by the NRC
  • The conference brings together nearly 3,000 participants from more than 30 countries representing interested stakeholders from other government agencies and industry 4
  • This joint WMS/RIC simulcast session (WMS 066, R3.88) is intended to share information that is of interest to both audiences
  • We intend to communicate and transfer knowledge to the WMS audience, and make the RIC audience aware of the WMS conference program and technical aspects
  • NRC staff and management participate in WMS annually through a dedicated panel session (WMS2021 Session R3.3 -No. 088B) to provide NRCs waste regulatory updates and to solicit stakeholder input 5
