FINAL SAFETY EVALUATIONS OF TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS TASK FORCE TRAVELER TSTF-580, REVISION 1, PROVIDE EXCEPTION FROM ENTERING MODE 4 WITH NO OPERABLE RHR SHUTDOWN COOLING (EPID L-2020-PMP-0012)
Dear Members of the Technical Specifications Task Force:
By letter dated January 26, 2021 (Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) Accession No. ML21025A232), the Technical Specifications Task Force (TSTF) submitted to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) for review and approval Traveler TSTF-580, Revision 1, Provide Exception from Entering Mode 4 With No Operable RHR
[Residual Heat Removal] Shutdown Cooling. The traveler was submitted as part of the consolidated line item improvement process (CLIIP). Traveler TSTF-580, Revision 1, is approved as a CLIIP traveler.
By letter dated May 26, 2021 (ADAMS Package Accession No. ML21054A281), NRC draft safety evaluations (SEs) of Traveler TSTF-580, Revision 1, were provided for your review and comments. You provided comments on June 16, 2021 (ADAMS Accession No. ML21167A044).
The comments have been incorporated. The NRC staffs final traveler SE and model SE are enclosed.
