RENEWED FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE NPF-30 PRESENTATION INFORMATION FOR PRE-APPLICATION MEETING REGARDING USE OF FRAMATOME FUEL AT CALLAWAY PLANT A meeting (phone conference) between Union Electric (Ameren Missouri), Framatome and NRC personnel is being planned in order to discuss a license amendment request (LAR) to be submitted in the March 2022 timeframe for the Callaway plant. The requested amendment would support transition to the use of fuel from a new/different fuel vendor (Framatome, Inc.) for the Callaway plant, beyond the four lead fuel assemblies that have already been loaded into the Callaway core in accordance with the provisions ofCallaway Technical Specification 4.2. 1, Fuel Assemblies. Specifically, the LAR would support the loading and unrestricted use ofFramatome GAlA fuel assemblies at Callaway, as qualified in accordance with Callaways vendor qualification program (VQP) for Framatome.
From preparation ofthe presentation materials to be used for the anticipated pre-application meeting, it was determined that some ofthe included information is proprietary to Framatome. On that basis, the pre-application meeting is being planned as partly a public meeting and partly a closed meeting.
The presentation materials to be used for the two-part meeting are in the form ofPowerPoint slides prepared by Ameren and Framatome personnel. The purpose ofthis letter is to transmit the slides to the NRC staff in advance ofthe meetings.
Slides for the public meeting and slides for the closed meeting were separately prepared. The set of slides to be used for the public meeting is provided as Enclosure 1. Two sets of slides were prepared for the closed meeting, and they are provided as Enclosures 2 and 3. Enclosure 2 is a redacted, non-proprietary version ofthe closed meeting slides, from which the proprietary information has been to this letter contains sensitive information.

This is the enclosure containing information that is to be withheld from public disclosure. For both ofthese enclosures (i.e., Enclosures 2 and 3), brackets and notation indicate the placement ofthe proprietary information and the basis for withholding the information from public disclosure pursuant to 10 CFR 2.390, as further explained by an affidavit prepared by Framatome.
The affidavit is provided as Enclosure 4.
