- Westinghouse re-submitted its license renewal application to the NRC requesting to renew its operating license for an additional 40 years June 2018
- NRC staff published a final environmental assessment (EA) and Finding of No Significant Impact (FONSI) (83 FR 28014)
October 2019
- NRC staff re-opened its environmental review and published a draft EA for public review and comment (84 FR 57777)
June 2020
- NRC staff decides to prepare an environmental impact statement (85 FR 46193)
Environmental Impact Statement (EIS)
July 2020 Notice of Intent to Prepare an EIS & Begin Scoping Process August 2020 End of Scoping Comment Period November 2020 Issuance of Requests for Additional Information (RAIs)

Safety Review July 2014
- Westinghouse re-submitted its license renewal application to the NRC requesting to renew its operating license for an additional 40 years July 2020
- NRC completed its safety review with the exception of environmental impacts and decommissioning. These portions will be completed after the EIS is developed February 2022
- NRC makes licensing decision and issues its record of decision (including the safety evaluation report)
