Clarifying the timing of Follow-Up Notifications ensures notifications are completed as required per the Emergency Plan, and when significant changes In event status occur.

Clarifying steps that are required when radiological surveys are performed and adding instructions to set up an electronic dosimeter ensure emergency workers have resources for controlling radiological exposures, and personnel understand how to utilize dosimeters during emergency conditions.

The Emergency Plan maintains a response organization with staff to respond and augment the initial response on a continuing basis. The Emergency Plan continues to have procedures for notification of State and local governmental agencies that can alert them of the declared emergency within 60 minutes after declaration of an emergency and providing follow-up notifications. The Emergency Plan maintains means for controlling emergency workers radiological exposures during an emergency.

The Emergency Plan continues to meet the regulatory requirements of 10CFR50.47(b) and 10CFR50 Appendix E, as exempted. The capability and timeliness to perform the planning functions and elements related to the planning functions are maintained.

The chanQes can be implemented without prior NRC approval.
