Quarterly SNC Counterpart Meeting 11/20 Shawn, John, and Stephanie, Below are the agenda and outcomes of the discussions with Cheryl Gayheart and Jamie Coleman during the quarterly counterpart meeting on November 20.
Agenda:
Feedback on SNC Communications Proposal Generally agree but could use more definition on who has the lead to schedule Process steps 1-4 Regular PM monthly calls with licensing counterparts - see merit in having a regular call time with current/planned licensing list in advance (valuable to share for resource planning)
Licensing Action Review Expectations: acceptance review is not part of 6-month CLIIP review and deviations may un-CLIIP; TSTFs would normally be 1-year Bumps in the Road Current fleet EP - depending on RAIs and schedule - concerns for impact on
Vogtle 3 and 4 Farley 50.69 - share feedback on Surry review, when complete Fuel and SFP reviews - Farley MUR SFP came in early and went well; pre-licensing for any fuel or SFP submittal Outcomes:
SNC and NRC agreed on lead for process items in attached SNC proposal (revision attached). SNC has lead for Items 1, 2, and 4. NRC PM has lead for Item 3 monthly licensing review scheduling SNC executives were unaware of impacts of receiving licensing submittals after COB on Fridays (i.e., lost 3 days of review and diligent PMs using time over weekends to get to technical branches). SNC agreed to get word out to make submittals on Monday instead.
Both agreed to clarify need date versus want date on front end of submittals SNC gave a heads-up that they have prepared contingency exemptions for Part 26 if COVID conditions change. The need does not exist at present, but submittals are ready to go, if needed.
Next meeting is at 1:00 p.m. on February 12.
