SNC Proposal for NRC and SNC Communications Purpose Enhance communications between NRC and SNC on licensing planning and scheduling.

Goal Establish process for communication of schedule and resource impacts of fleet, quick turnaround, and first-of-a-kind submittals, including plant-specific versus NRC-approved topical reports.

Process

1. SNC provides the NRC with six-month notice of projected licensing actions (one-year notice for significant licensing actions).

2. Projected licensing action details include Plant name(s), type of action (amendment, relief request, etc.), description, submittal date, whether outage related, if pre-submittal meeting is requested, and any comments.

SNC Lead

3. NRC Project Managers and SNC Lead Licensing Engineers will meet on a monthly basis to review and update licensing actions (projected and in review). This maintains alignment as priorities may shift.

DORL PM Lead

4. NRC DORL Director (or Deputy) and Branch Chief will meet with SNC Regulatory Affairs Director and Licensing Manager on a quarterly basis to review licensing actions and exchange feedback on communications.
