LOUISIANA ENERGY SERVICES, LLC - ACCEPTANCE FOR REVIEW OF NEW EXECUTED FUNDING INSTRUMENTS (ENTERPRISE PROJECT IDENTIFIER L-2020-DFA-0007)

Dear Mr. Padgett:

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff has received your letter dated October 12, 2020, transmitting new executed funding instruments for decommissioning. The new executed funding instruments submitted will replace the existing funding instruments which are set to expire on December 10, 2020.

We have completed our acceptance review of your submittal and have identified no administrative omissions or deficiencies that would prevent us from proceeding with a detailed review. Your submittal has been assigned Enterprise Project Identification (EPID) Number L-2020-DFA-0007. Please reference this EPID number and Docket Number 70-3103 in any future correspondence associated with this request.

Please note that the NRC staffs technical review of your submittal may identify issues that require additional information. Based on our preliminary evaluation and projection of current review schedules, we anticipate completing our formal review by November 2020. This date could change depending on the findings of our technical review, urgent assignments, or other factors. We will promptly communicate any significant changes to this schedule. In addition, the NRC staff estimates that completing the review of your submittal will require approximately 60 staff hours which corresponds to about $16,740 ($279/hr.).

In accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations Section 2.390, Public inspections, exemptions, requests for withholding of the NRCs Agency Rules of Practice and Procedure, a copy of this letter will be available electronically for public inspection in ADAMS.
