Subject:
REACTOR COOLANT SYSTEM LEAK A nonisolable leak in the Reactor Coolant System (RCS) was identified today during post core load hot functional testing. The leak is in a socket veld on a 3/4 inch vent line connected to one of the accumulator discharge lines to a RCS cold leg. The leak rate is less than one gallon per minute. The RCS is being cooled down to make repairs.
The cause of the leak has not yet been determined. The time to cooldown and repair the leak is estimated to be two days.

The State of New York has been informed. A press i
release is not planned.
NRC, Region I, Philadelphia, Pa. received notification of this occurrence by telephone at 3:15 p.m., 3/17/76 from Mr. S. Zulla, Operations Engineer.
