Beta Source DESCRIPTION:
i The source consists of a titanium bar with a 0.187" slot millec 0.200" deep.
The slot is covered with a 0.002" thick titanium window sealed by "GAPASIL 9" brazing.
The source is filled through a 1/16" copper tube silver brazed afte.r filling.
The active dimensions of the source are 1.125" by 0.187".
The overall dimensions are 3.370" long, 0.38" wice and 0.300" deep.
Each flange has a =24 (0.152") hole, the holes are 3.00" apart center-to-center.
LABELING:
The source is labeled with: Manufacturer's name, isotope, quantity, model and serial numbers, and date.
f CONDITIONS OF NORMAL USE:
The Model 3E40 is designed for industrial beta gauging applications for temperature range of 32-158'F (0 to 70*C) and atmospheric pressure.
PROTOTYPE TESTING:
This sealed source is designed to comply with requirements of American National Standards Institute ANSI N5.10-1968 classification 32231.
