Attention: George Knighton Th'e NRC'has evaluated and accepted the Safety Parameter Display System (SPDS) at Rancho Seco as documented in NUREG-1286, Supplement No. 1, Safety Evaluation Report related.to the restart of Rancho Seco Nuclear Generating Station. NUREG-1286 states "The' staff finds the upgraded safety parameter display system acceptable. The items or issues identified above will be confirmed by inspection.

Based on past NRC acceptance, Rancho Seco should be included in the group of plants identified in Generic Letter 69-06 as having a satisfactory SPDS system. As such, the District plars no further action in relation to Generic Letter 89-06.
