Virgil C. Summer Nuclear Station Docket No. 50/395 Operating License No. NPF-12 Inservice Test Program Gentlemen:
In a letter dated August 31, 1988, South Carolina Electric & Gas Company (SCE&G),
acting for itself and as an agent for South Carolina Public Authority, submitted revisions to the Virgil C. Summer Nuclear Station Inservice Testing Program.
This letter committed to having all program revisions and procedures in effect by April 1, 1989, except for the E.3 pump relief request.
At present, it appears that all required changes to the pump and valve test program h
will be incorporated by April 1, 1989; however, delays have been experienced in completing the procedures for the local leak rate test (LLRT.) program.
Since the next LLRT will not be performed until the fifth refueling outage, SCE&G hereby requests an extension in completing the LLRT procedures.
In any event, the LLRT procedures will be completed before the fifth refueling outage.
